In 2019 STP was accepted as a Professional Affiliate of the British Engineering Council, the main umbrella body which brings together British technical associations. STP is currently the only ethnic minority association and we consider this to be due recognition of our activities in the field of engineering and science.
We also have extensive contact with organisations in Poland. We are ordinary members of NOT and we also collaborate with Polish Technical Organisations such as Polska Izba Inżynierów Budownictwa – Polish Chamber of Construction Engineers, Stowarzyszenie Geodetów Polskich – The Association of Polish Land Surveyors and BIM Klaster – BIM Cluster.
As a founding member of Europejska Federacja Polonijnych Stowarzyszeń Naukowo Technicznych (EFPSNT) – European Federation of Polish Science and Technical Associations, we are in regular contact with similar technical organisations in France, Germany, Austria and Lithuania.
The Association works with partners both in Poland, Great Britain and other European Union countries. Our key partner in the United Kingdom is the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, which for years has been substantively supporting our initiatives and projects, both financially and organisationally. We are a member of the Association of Poles in Great Britain, and numerous STP members are also members of the Polish Social and Cultural Association (POSK), where our office is based and with which we collaborate closely, amongst other through our BIM4POSK project, the aim of which is to create up to date technical documentation about the building.
We also work with other Polish organizations in Great Britain, such as Polish Professionals in London, Polish Society of Arts and Sciences Abroad, Polish University Abroad and also within the community of Polish students in the UK.
