Nagroda Prezesa STP: The President's Award for Engineering Excellence

A new PolishEngineers.UK competition celebrating outstanding individual engineering work by students connected to the Polish community in the UK — £1,500 in prizes across three winners, plus a year of complimentary STP membership each.

Every year, Polish engineering students across the UK complete brilliant work — final-year projects, papers, prototypes, tools, designs — that rarely gets seen outside a supervisor's inbox. The President's Award exists to change that: to give you a reason to finish, polish and show off your best engineering, and to connect you with the wider Polish engineering community in the UK.

Who Can Enter

• You're a student at a British university — undergraduate, postgraduate taught, or doctoral.
• You're a member of a university Polish society. No Polish society at your university? You can still enter.
• You were a student at any point during 2026, including if you graduated this year

What Counts as an Entry

Any completed piece of engineering work: a student project, dissertation, scientific paper, technical article, design, prototype, experiment, analysis, working software tool, or a student-led engineering initiative. This list isn't exhaustive — what matters is that it's finished, not just proposed.

We're looking for:

• Engineering excellence and sound technical thinking
• A completed, tangible outcome — not just an idea
• Clear individual ownership of the contribution
• Evidence of results, value or significance

Work from university or outside it is equally welcome, and neither is given preference. Worked on something as part of a team? You can still enter — just make your own individual contribution clear (for example, submitting your chassis design from a Formula Student car, even though the full car was a team effort).

Prizes & Recognition

All three winners will be celebrated at a dedicated STP event, with a chance to present the work behind their entry.
