This was the title of a lecture for Polish HVAC Engineers at the Tech Academy of Association of Polish Engineers in Great Britain. The lecture covers technical vocabulary, procedures , codes in the international market which is dominaned on the British or American Standards. Without their knowledge, engineers will not be able to exist in this market. The lecture is conducted in English with explanations in Polish. The aim of the programme is to provide the knowledge required by the international labour market and by foreign investors in Poland in the building industry market, so that Polish engineers can find their way in this market. Teresa Bilińska studied Mechanical and Public Health (PH) in Poland, gaining her Master’s Degree in 1985. In 2005, she started her international career with PM Group Dublin in Ireland, leading on the MEP design for Dell Factory in Łódź, Poland. In 2007, she decided to continue her career in Scotland, gaining more experience in MEP designs for both public and private sector projects. Since 2008, she’s been freelancing as a Senior/Lead Design engineers with the top international consultancies like Hilson-Moran, Meinhardt, Buro Happold, Capita Symonds, WSP and Contractors Cilantro based in London. Her vast portfolio includes the designs for some of the biggest projects in the world - Data Centre - 254 MW cooling, Al Bayt World Cup Stadium in Qatar - 124 MW cooling, hotels in Nigeria, offices in Equatorial Guinea, and residential developments in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar. Member of engineering institutions: the Chartered Institution of Building Services CIBSE (2009) and DOIIB Poland (2001).
